THE ROOTS OF MOVEMENT DAY
WHAT IS MOVEMENT DAY?
Movement Day (MD) began in 2010 as a one-day to three-day conference of ministry, marketplace, and nonprofit leaders who were enthusiastic about cities and the Gospel of Jesus, and who came together across denominational, ethnic, geographic, and socio-economic divides. Over 45,000 city officials have received training.
Individuals having a vision for God advancing a gospel movement in their community, eager to join arms with other leaders who want to see the Body of Christ come together, are asked to lead these events.
The mechanism through which we serve the launch of these meetings around the world
is Movement Day Expressions.

OUR VISION
WHY MOVEMENT DAY?
OUR GOAL
IN ORDER TO SPEED UP A GOSPEL MOVEMENT IN YOUR CITY
The goal of hosting an MD Expression in your city is to catalyse a gospel movement by bringing together highly trained, motivated, and sold-out leaders who are committed to finding solutions to “stubborn facts” like crime, poverty, apathy, failed educational systems, and unemployment that plague cities all over the world.
Movement Day has made the following five compelling findings
on the power of our work since its inception.
1
God has set what He wants
His leaders to do in their hearts.
The fire of change is kindled by giving a venue for us to meet
and the opportunity to discuss
the best ideas and practices
for impacting a city.
2
The presence of God in the person
of the Incarnate Christ
distinguishes Christianity.
God becomes more present
to everyone of us
when Christian leaders are
more present to each other.
3
What the Lord requires of us is that we express our togetherness.
What we do as individuals
is important, but what we do
as a group is crucial.
4
We are the owners
of the designs we create.
Thousands of leaders from all walks of life come together on Movement Day to shape the future of their city.
5
The depth of solidarity among a city’s citizens is directly proportional to its Christian liveliness.
A MD expression’s objective is to see its “gospel eco-system,” which is made up of churches, agencies, and leaders, grow in all of its diversity.
