Bishop Claude Alexander

Dr. McKenzie “Mac” Pier

Barak Al'Mondia
Bishop Claude Alexander
Bishop Claude Alexander is the Senior Pastor of Park Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Bishop Alexander is a globally sought after speaker who serves as the board chair for Christianity Today and Gordon Cornwell Seminary. He recently did Bible exposition at the 2022 Urbana Missions Conference. He is past president of the Hamptons Minister Conference, the largest clergy body in the world. He and his wife Kimberly have two daughters.
Dr. McKenzie “Mac” Pier
Dr. Pier has been catalyzing Christian movements most of his adult life. He moved to New York City from South Dakota in 1984 serving with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as Area Director overseeing 15 campuses.
In 1988, he co-founded Concerts of Prayer, a prayer movement which has strengthened and united pastors and advanced a culture of prayer across the New York City Metro area for the last 30 years. To date 2,000+ churches have participated. In 2003, he, with Dr. Tim Keller, also co-founded the Church Multiplication Alliance. The CMA’s emphasis on united prayer and church planting catalyzed the 300% growth of evangelical Christianity in Manhattan from 1989-2009.
Mac’s desire is for citywide “Gospel Movements” to measurably transform the lives of their most vulnerable citizens. To that end, in 2008, he founded The New York City Leadership Center (subsequently renamed Movement.Org in 2018) to catalyze and train Christian leaders. Movement Day Expressions, an initiative of Movement.Org launched in 2010, is a gathering of ministry, marketplace, governmental and nonprofit leaders who are passionate to see the Body of Christ come together – uniting across denominational, ethnic, geographical, and socio-economic lines. Movement Day Expressions are currently taking place across the globe.
Mac is the author of several books including A Disruptive Gospel, A Disruptive Generosity, and A Disruptive God. A Disruptive Gospel was named by Outreach Magazine as an outreach resource of the year in 2018. Pier wrote New York Disrupted: A 2030 Vision for City Gospel Movements in 2020. His most recent book Required, is co-authored with Bishop Claude Alexander.
Mac earned his Master of Arts degree in religion from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and his doctorate at Palmer Theological Seminary (formerly Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary).

Hailing from Kenya, Barak interweaves anecdotes and illustrations from Africa in all of his preaching engagements. His approach to teaching is practical, with applications that apply to individual discipleship journeys.
Barak is also passionate about leveraging culture for the gospel and providing clear examples of how culture and discrimination can hinder the reception of the gospel.
He currently serves at Fellowship Dubai as a community Pastor and lives in Dubai with his wife, Nita, and two daughters, Toria and Thayu.
